I tickled Olin to wake him up this morning. Giggling he said, "Stop tickling me mommy, I am not a toy."
I was driving Olin and his friend Meghan to school one morning this week and Meghan said to Olin, "Olin when we go to college, we're going to live together." Olin paused, smiled and yelled, "let's go to college!"

5 minutes in the car with the boys
Some of you have been in a car with the boys. If you haven't, here is a snapshot from today. Setting: after haircuts headed to play baseball before dinner.
David on phone to Anna: OK, so we'll be back around 5:45.
Max to Olin: Olin, we need to hurry. We only have 56 minutes to play.
(I look at the car clock. It says 5:49).
Max: Daddy, can I have a rice cake?
Me: We're all out, Max.
Max: Can you look?
Me (glancing over at the passenger seat): All out, Max.
Max: But you just went to the store. We probably have some in the trunk.
Me: There are none in the trunk, Max.
Max: Can I look?
Me: Max, you are strapped in a seat and we're driving down the road. How do you expect to look in the trunk?
Max: Oh, PLEASE can I have a rice cake?
Olin: BLUE, Daddy, BLUE.
(There is a toggle switch in the Mini to change the color of LED lights above the dash. I change it to BLUE).
Olin: PURPLE, Daddy. PURPLE.
Max: That's a girl color, Olin. Say Orange.
Olin: ORANGE, Daddy. ORANGE.
(I switch it to Orange).
Max: Daddy, why can't I have a rice cake?
Olin: I got two rice cakes, Max. You only got one.
Max: I had two million and three.

Max's First Pinewood Derby
Max joined the other kids at Stuart Hall for the great Pinewood Derby Race. As you can see from the first heat, some of the kids were a bit older. The girl next two him got first place...

Brotherly Love
On our drive home from school today, Max asked "Mommy, when Olin grows up can he go to my school? because when he's in kindergarten I'll be in third grade and then maybe I'll be his school big brother." I looked backed and Olin was beaming. Then Olin said, "Maxwell Fabian Meyer, when I was at school today, I was thinking about you."
Nothing like brotherly love...

Lucha Libra Olin
A while ago Olin got some art supplies, which oddly enough, always make him look like a Mexican wrestler.
Here he is being scary. Watch out!

Here Lizard Lizard Lizard
The boys were in the backyard, and started screaming BUG BUG BUG. I called out for them to step on it. Then they started screaming. I went over, and wasn't quite sure what we saw.
It turns out they were little lizards that looked like snakes for their short legs.
Common after rains. Who new?
